Your first visitFAQ
What to expect

We know coming here can feel intimidating. Here's exactly what happens.

Most of the anxiety around a first pelvic floor PT visit comes from not knowing what's actually going to happen. So here's the whole thing, plainly.

Before you arrive

Wear whatever you'd wear to a regular workout — comfortable, flexible clothing. We're a family-friendly clinic, so babies and kids are always welcome if you need to bring them.

When you arrive

You'll be welcomed by our team as soon as you walk in, and brought back to a private treatment room with your therapist — not a shared gym space, and not a waiting room full of other patients. As one patient put it, this is care "you don't want to deal with in a big open room."

Your first visit, step by step

1. We talk first. You'll have space to share your story, symptoms, and goals without feeling rushed — this is the most important part of the whole visit.

2. A thorough evaluation. Your therapist will assess your whole body, not just the area where symptoms show up — posture, breathing, core and hip mechanics, and more.

3. Treatment starts the same day. You won't just leave with homework — your first visit includes hands-on treatment specific to what we find.

4. You leave with a real plan. A clear, written action plan for what comes next, so you're never wondering what to do between visits.

On consent, specifically

For some conditions, a thorough evaluation can include an internal assessment of the pelvic floor muscles. We want to be completely upfront: this is never assumed, never rushed, and never required. If it's relevant to your care, your therapist will explain exactly what it involves and why, before anything happens — and it only happens with your clear consent, on your timeline. If you're not ready on your first visit, that's entirely normal, and there's still a great deal we can do.

Still have questions?

That's completely normal. Call us at (602) 456-2956 — we're happy to talk it through before you ever book.
